Distribution of microplastics in soil aggregates after film mulching

چکیده
Microplastic distribution is non-homogeneous in agricultural soil following plastic film degradation. However, the of microplastics by shape and particle size different aggregates remains unknown. To elucidate microplastic shapes sizes with increasing years mulching, four paired fields mulching (FM) no (NM) were examined at 1, 5, 10, 20 after continuous mulching. An increase 0.053–0.25 mm diameter was observed; however, organic carbon content decreased long-term FM. Microplastics primarily combined 0.053–2 aggregates. Specifically, FM associated dominance film- fiber-shaped 0.25–2 diameter, respectively. Fiber- granule-shaped 0.25–1 aggregates, Film-shaped > 1 0.05–0.25 Therefore, can be used to monitor health quality, greatly enhancing our understanding risk posed environment.

Distribution of chromium contamination and microbial activity in soil aggregates.
Biogeochemical transformations of redox-sensitive chemicals in soils can be strongly transport-controlled and localized. This was tested through experiments on chromium diffusion and reduction in soil aggregates that were exposed to chromate solutions. Reduction of soluble Cr(VI) to insoluble Cr(II) occurred only within the surface layer of aggregates with higher available organic carbon and hi...
متن کاملSoil Salt Distribution and Tomato Response to Saline Water Irrigation under Straw Mulching
To investigate better saline water irrigation scheme for tomatoes that scheduling with the compromise among yield (Yt), quality, irrigation water use efficiency (IWUE) and soil salt residual, an experiment with three irrigation quotas and three salinities of irrigation water was conducted under straw mulching in northern China. The irrigation quota levels were 280 mm (W1), 320 mm (W2) and 360 m...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of Soil Evaporation with Sand Mulching and Inclusion
A model of unsaturated soil-water movement using a prediction model of basic physical soil properties for calculating correlation functions was developed using VADOSE/W. The reliability of the model was assessed by comparing the results with those of a soil-column test. Coefficients of determination, R2, between the simulated and the measured daily evaporation for sand-mulch thicknesses of 0 (c...
متن کاملChanges study of soil splash and stability of soil aggregates using polyvinyl acetate
Soil erosion, especially water erosion, threatens the installations, water resources and also human life. The first stage of water erosion is the splash erosion that it requires to control in the primary stages. On the other hand, the application of soil conditioners is one of the approaches that it provide the conservation possibility of soil surface against water erosion, especially erosion f...
متن کاملEffects of Mulching and Nitrogen on Soil Nitrate-N Distribution, Leaching and Nitrogen Use Efficiency of Maize (Zea mays L.)
Mulching and nitrogen are critical drivers of crop production for smallholders of the Loess Plateau in China. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mulching and nitrogen fertilizer on the soil water content, soil nitrate-N content and vertical distribution in maize root-zone. The experiment was conducted over two consecutive years and used randomly assigned field plots with...
